Everyday when I put Isabella to bed I always think I did not give her enough kisses today. I try to remedy that, but I still always think that.
Tonight before dinner Isabella wiggled her way onto my lap and wiggled all around. Then, she put her arms around my neck and kissed me! It was so sweet. She hugged me again and kissed me two more times. Then, she said "Love you!" without even being prompted! I do have the best daughter in the world! I love you too Isabella!I promise tomorrow I will give you more kisses!

Tattling
Tonight my sister watched Isabella and our friend Isaiah in the nursery while the rest of us attended a memorial service. Isaiah is the son of a friend who I grew up with and he was born a month before Isabella. After the service my mom and Isabella were talking with Matt, (Isaiah's dad) and he asked, "Did you play with Isaiah?" Isabella immediately touched her bow and said, "Bow, bow!" So, Matt asked her if Isaiah got her bow and she shook her head yes. Matt assured her he would have a talk with Isaiah. When Rachel came out of the nursery she confirmed Isabella's story that Isaiah tried to get her bow.
Now, I just want to make sure everyone knows that I think this is just a really cute story and shows how good Isabella is at making connections. Isaiah is still our sweet friend and is simply a 1.5 year old boy who is learning how the world works.

Boots and Infinity Scarves
Isabella has become obsessed with boots lately! She has worn her pink ugg type boots for a week straight, she even sleeps in them. Last night she threw a fit when I took them off at bath time.
A few weeks ago when this whole obsession started I went to put her shoes on her, she grabbed her feet, looked at me and said, "No, boots!" It has been boots, boots, boots ever since. Tonight she decided she needed to put the skirt pieces I was making around her neck as an infinity scarf. She put all three of them around her neck and wore them that way for the rest of the evening. I took them off at bed time and told her they weren't safe to wear. She threw a little fit but I assured her she would be able to wear them again tomorrow. I love my little fashionista!

Wink, wink
Ben has taught Isabella to wink. At random points in the day she will look at me, scrunch up her face and wink or sometimes she just blinks at me. Super Cute!

Merry Christmas
We celebrated Christmas with Isabella last Saturday at our house and it was very memorable! She loved openeing presents. The first one she opened was her Melissa and Doug slicable fruit. As she opened the box she looked up and said "Pizza" because it reminded her of the slicable pizza we gave her a few weeks ago. Then, she opened her Little People farm. As she pulled the paper off of the package she saw the animals and said, "Ewww!" She was so excited! We had to open the packaging on all of her toys after she opened each one.
After Christmas we opened presents we headed to the City Market to see the Grinch! She loved sliding on the slide but did not like the Grinch! I held her in my arms as I sat next to the grinch for our picture. She turned around to make sure she was not touching the grinch!
After we came home Isabella and I played with her presents. She rode her Elmo car, swept the floor and watched Blue's Clues all at the same time. I had to push her in her car but we both had a great time!

Shhhh part 2!
The other night Isabella could hear the wind howling outside and she looked at me and said, “ssshhhh Dada!” I’m pretty sure she thought the noise she heard was Ben pretending to snore.

Shhh!
Thanksgiving morning Isabella was with Ben while I was trying to get ready. Isabella came and found me and was helping me get ready. We could hear Ben calling her from the hallway because he wanted to help her get ready. She looked up at me and said "shhh!"
